Arrive
Islamabad
Khush
Amded as we are welcomed at Islamabad airport and transferred to
our hotel. In the evening we visit the old garrison town Rawalpindi
followed by a trip back into modernity at Islamabad. |
| Day 2 |
Islamabad/Taxila/Swat
Morning
we head off on the Grand Trunk Route to Taxila, which was once the
seat of oriental culture. Continue for the enchanting Swat Valley
through the picturesque Malakand Pass. |
| Day 3 |
Swat
All full day tour of Saidu Shariff and it’s colourful twin town
of Mingora. |
| Day 4 |
Swat/Chitral
We
take the spectacular Lowari Pass to Chitral. Lying in the midst
of the Hindukush Range, it’s one of the world’s most beautiful regions. |
| Day 5 |
Chitral
Chitral
town is best seen by walking. So, today we take a full day tour
of this one street town. Evening we visit a home of the Chitralis. |
| Day 6 |
Kalash
Valley
Visit
the nearby valley of Bomboret, where there is a settlement of the
Kalash community. Guru, the main village, is perched on a hillside
as glued to the steep slope. |
| Day 7 |
Chitral
Day
free at leisure to enjoy. This is an ideal opportunity to do some
mountain walking, or enjoy the serenity that the majestic scenery
offers. |
| Day 8 |
Chitral/Peshawar
Morning
we take a spectacular and breath-taking flight* over the Hindukush
Mountains to Peshawar. Afternoon tour of this oriental and exotic
city of Peshawar.

| Day 9 |
Khyber Pass
Morning
visit to historical Khyber Pass where it is said that the army of
Alexander the Great crossed in 327 BC. Afternoon free to stroll
in the many narrow alleys with a great opportunity to see and meet
the local folks. |
| Day 10 |
Depart Peshawar
We
bid Khuda Hafiz, the traditional farewell, to the famous land of
the proud Pathans – the custodians of the Khyber Pass.
